Page Publishing pricing: packages and what they cost
Page Publishing sells three packages, at $4,085, $5,681 and $8,081. The prices appear in its own article, "How Much Does It Cost to Publish with Page Publishing?" (published 15 May 2026, updated 21 May 2026; checked 18 October 2026; archived copy). Its packages page lists the same three names without prices.
| Package | Price | Payment plan | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Purely Publishing | $4,085 | $595, then 10 × $349 | Copyedit to Chicago style, cover and interior design, ebook and print editions, ISBN, Ingram distribution, press release, author web page, 10 paperbacks |
| Launch | $5,681 | $795, then 14 × $349 | Adds a 60-second video trailer, Amazon listing work (blurb, categories, keywords), a podcast interview and twice the free copies |
| Launch+ | $8,081 | $1,095, then 14 × $499 | Adds an author website with a year of hosting, a three-month social media campaign with a $100 ad budget, a video interview and 100 bookmarks |
Two add-ons, an audiobook and a TV book-club interview, carry no published price. Extra copies cost 40% off the retail price, plus shipping. After the first two years, the article lists "a small annual renewal fee currently set at $64 per year": $128 for each two-year renewal (derived).
The entry plan matches, figure for figure, the first plan in the agreement templates that Christian Faith Publishing and Covenant Books publish online. Each template offers "Purely Publishing PLUS" for $595 down and ten payments of $349. All three companies list addresses on Park Avenue in Meadville; Page's is 832 Park Avenue, Suite 111. None of the three sites states a relationship between them.
Page Publishing contract: rights, royalties and how to leave
Page Publishing does not publish its author agreement. Its website terms point authors to "the current agreement terms posted to your Author Portal", which needs a login (checked 18 October 2026). What it says in public comes from the cost article's FAQ and its royalty page.
- Rights: "Both the original work and all materials prepared by Page Publishing, including page designs, cover art, and electronic files, are your property."
- Term: two years for print and ebook, renewing automatically for two-year terms unless either side gives written notice "at least sixty days before the term expires". Audiobook agreements run seven years.
- Canceling: "Authors have three calendar days from signing to cancel for any reason by providing written notice."
- ISBN: Page obtains the ISBNs, "listing you as the author and Page Publishing as your publisher" (print and ebook page).
Page does not say whether its license is exclusive. The templates published by Christian Faith Publishing and Covenant Books grant "the exclusive worldwide right to publish" print and ebook editions during the term.
The royalty FAQ says "you will receive 100% of the profit generated from each sale until you have recouped your entire publishing investment." After that, Page keeps 20 cents a copy. It does not define profit or give a rate per format: "Royalty rates vary across formats and can change over time." Royalties are paid by check each quarter, within 90 days of the quarter's end. Audiobook royalties go 100% to the author until $10,000, then Page takes 4%.
Recoupment is not a refund. Answering a BBB complaint on 23 September 2026, Page wrote that "the agreement does not guarantee a specific number of book sales or a particular amount of royalty income."
What you get from Page Publishing, and what you do not
You get a copyedited, designed book in print and ebook, listed with retailers through Ingram. Its distribution page says this allows "bookstores to carry Page Publishing books on their shelves if they choose." The press release goes to "a targeted priority list of thousands of media contacts". Most books reach retailers in 6–8 months, with "a maximum timeline of 10 months" (services page).
No package lists a developmental edit, the edit that works on structure and argument. That costs $3,200–4,000 for an 80,000-word non-fiction book at the EFA's 2026 median rates. Marketing in the two upper tiers is a fixed list of items, not paid advertising beyond Launch+'s $100. Page says it has published "around 15 thousand books since 2012".
The do-it-yourself route costs less. Amazon KDP charges nothing to publish. A copyedit of 80,000 words costs $2,400–3,200 at EFA rates, BookBaby sells covers from $399, and a Bowker ISBN costs $125. That totals $2,924–3,724 (derived) against $4,085 for Purely Publishing. A 300-page paperback priced at $14.99 then earns $4.39 a copy on KDP (derived). What it costs to publish a book breaks each route down.
What to check before you pay Page Publishing
- Ask for the full agreement before paying, and whether it grants Page exclusive rights during each two-year term.
- Ask what a $14.99 paperback earns you per copy, in dollars, on Amazon and through Ingram. The royalty page gives no rate.
- Ask what happens to the ISBN if you leave. It lists Page Publishing as your publisher.
- Put the renewal date in your diary. Notice must arrive 60 days before each two-year term ends, or the agreement renews for two more years at $64 a year.
- Ask what refund applies after the three-day cancellation window. The website terms say "All sales are final."
Alternatives to Page Publishing for the same budget
- Archway Publishing: five published packages from $2,599 to $18,599, with its full terms online.
- Palmetto Publishing: packages "start around $1,598" with no fixed tiers, and ALLi rates it "Excellent (Partner)".
- BookBaby: quotes each book; its FAQ puts a fully produced book at $2,000–7,000.
- KDP plus a freelance copyeditor: $2,400–3,200 for an 80,000-word book at EFA rates, and the ISBN can be yours.

FAQ
Is Page Publishing legit?
Page Publishing has traded since 2011, according to the BBB, and its site, pagepublishing.com, says it has published around 15,000 books since 2012. The BBB rates it A+ and accredited; Trustpilot shows 2.2 from 20 reviews; ALLi rates it "Watchdog Advisory". It publishes its package prices but not its author agreement.
How much does Page Publishing cost?
Page Publishing costs $4,085–8,081 as of October 2026. The cheapest package, kept in print for four years, comes to $4,213 with one two-year renewal (derived: $4,085 plus $128). A developmental edit, which no package lists, would add $3,200–4,000 at EFA rates.
Is Page Publishing a vanity press?
The author pays $4,085–8,081 (Page's cost article, checked 18 October 2026). Page says its reviewers read each manuscript "to ensure it meets our publishing standards and determine if we want to publish it", but publishes no acceptance rate. Of IBPA's 11 hybrid publisher criteria, it publishes under its own name on the ISBN, distributes through Ingram and pays the author all profit less 20 cents a copy after recoupment; it publishes no contract and no sales figures. IBPA certifies no one; the criteria let you judge for yourself.
Page Publishing complaints: what do authors report?
The BBB lists 36 complaints in three years, 12 in the last year, and 60% of Trustpilot's 20 reviews give one star. Recent complaints describe launch marketing the authors say did not arrive, and royalty accounts showing no income. Page's reply to one BBB complaint says the agreement does not guarantee sales.
Page Publishing royalties: how much do authors earn?
Page pays "100% of the profit" from each sale until the author recoups the package price, then keeps 20 cents a copy. It publishes no rate per format, so ask for a dollar figure per copy before signing. Royalties are paid quarterly by check, within 90 days of the quarter's end.
Page Publishing lawsuit: has the company been sued?
CourtListener lists three federal cases naming Page Publishing, none a class action. Davis, a 2017 California case, was dismissed without prejudice, and Harris, a 2024 Illinois case, with prejudice for want of prosecution. In Hopkins, filed in Florida in 2026, the docket shows an order dismissing the case and a notice of appeal. We found no attorney-general or FTC action.
